Hi, I’m Amanda — Founder of Salt & Light Speech-Language Resources

I’m so glad you’re here. At Salt & Light, my mission is to provide intentional, evidence-based care that supports both my clients and their families through every step of their journey.

I hold a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of Montevallo (2018) and bring over 15 years of prior experience as a licensed physical therapist assistant.

This unique background allows me to approach therapy from a truly holistic perspective—addressing the connection between movement, oral function, and overall well-being.

I’m honored to serve clients across the state of Alabama with a focus on:

  • Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders (OMDs)

  • Speech Sound Disorders

  • Swallowing Disorders

  • Tethered Oral Tissues (TOTs)

To better serve my clients, I’ve pursued extensive continuing education and advanced training, including:

  • Mastering Myo: Introductory Orofacial Myofunctional A–Z Course

  • Myo Circle 3.0: Advanced Mentorship Program for Myofunctional Therapists

  • Simon Says: An Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy Program

  • Thumbs Up: A 30-Day Sucking Elimination Program

  • Tethered Oral Tissues (TOTS) Specialty Training

It’s an honor to welcome you to the Salt & Light family. No goal is too big or too small—together, we’ll create a plan that’s supportive, sustainable, and rooted in compassion. My greatest joy is helping you find the confidence, clarity, and connection you deserve.

Our Office

"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms."
