Speech Sound
Production

Great news! Our speech therapy sessions are tailored to help your child improve their speech intelligibility, motor planning, and coordination with speech sounds that are challenging for them. With our therapy, your child will speak more clearly, reduce frustration, and gain confidence as they improve in their overall speech clarity. Additionally, our sessions will aid in the development of critical phonological skills needed for reading, speaking, and spelling.

Language
Skills

Our communication skills program targets both receptive and expressive language to improve vocabulary, grammar, basic concepts, and verbal formulation. We teach children the skills needed to be successful in their communication at home, school, and the community.

We can also help with higher-level academic language skills to improve listening comprehension and processing.

Stuttering
Support

We provide evidence-based therapy that is tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Our goal is to help them manage their stuttering and build communication skills that will serve them well throughout their lives.

Adult Therapy

Speech, language, and swallowing are vital components of human connection and fulfillment. Our focus on helping individuals who have experienced a stroke, brain injury, or have been diagnosed with a neurological disorder is crucial and impactful. By offering tools, strategies, and education, our aim is to facilitate your recovery journey and enable you or your loved one to regain their quality of life.

Dysphagia or swallowing problems incorporate education in strategies for safe swallowing, recommendations for food textures if needed, and an individualized exercise program.

We also offer cognitive wellness services to address executive functioning skills, problem-solving, and higher-level thought organization.

We are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of those facing these challenges.

Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT)

At Salt & Light, we identify and treat the root cause of speech and orofacial myofunctional disorders (OMD'S)

in children, teens, and adults. OMT is an evidence-based treatment approach that supports the underlying skills needed for speaking, swallowing, breathing, and sleeping. The training targets the face, neck, and mouth's soft tissues to reach optimal tongue position and oral rest posture.

The four goals of OMT include promoting nasal breathing, proper tongue resting posture, creating a lip seal, and correcting swallowing patterns.

*OMT clients do require additional products sold as a kit for $30.
